  • I cannot believe there is so much goodnight moon paraphernalia. I have 6 children and it was the favorite book of all of them. I now have 4 grandkids and the tradition is continuing

Of course, Goodnight Moon is a favorite at our house, from my own childhood and now of both of my boys. So many great ideas here for this wonderful book.

  • Thanks for your comment, Faigie! It’s amazing how much is available online now, isn’t it?! I’m hoping my future grandkids will love Goodnight Moon, too. 🙂

(my roundup post with many activities that would work especially well for a moon unit for older children while younger children have a Goodnight Moon unit)

Goodnight Moon has been one of my favorite books for as long as I can remember. Its simplicity is what makes it so fascinating. It's perfect for first time readers, and one of the best bedtime stories of all time. I got this book at my baby shower and I love reading it to my son. He loves looking at book and words and this book is perfect to cuddle up with right before bed. Everything these days has to be big and spectacular. I really like the simplicity of this book and the soft, warm colors that are perfect for a bedtime book.

Every parent and child loves Goodnight Moon, it's an absolute classic!

Today, I’m sharing links to Goodnight Moon free printables and activities from around the blogosphere. Even though not all the printables and activities in this post are Montessori activities, many of them would fit well in a Montessori-inspired Goodnight Moon unit.

Goodnight Moon, goodnight Peeps, hope you have restful sleeps!

It never occurred to me that the leading cause for the growing education and opportunity gap we’re seeing between rich kids and poor kids is tied to this gap in “Goodnight Moon” time.
