  • PAL MICKEY is an interactive plush Mickey Mouse that allows you to make your way around the WDW resort with your own personal guide, introduced in May 2003. With the advent of the Happiest Celebration on Earth on May 5, 2005, Walt Disney World introduced a new, enhanced version of Pal Mickey. The new Pal Mickey is priced slightly higher than the previous version ($65 plus tax) and is all dressed up in a removable tuxedo jacket. He not only comes with new games and songs, but he also has a brand-new carrying lanyard and a louder speaking voice.

Save time and money on your next WDW trip: . This video is at the Character Spot in Magic Kingdom. It features a talking, interactive Mickey Mouse. His eyes even blink. I have never seen a talking Mickey Mouse before, so this was really cool for me! He played a card trick with my daughter as well.

  • AppToyz, the company behind the famed AR toy AppBlaster for iPhone and Android (through AppBlaster v2), has branched out from its own smartphone and tablet gaming accessories into licensed products.

A partnership with Disney will bring several new products in 2013, all combining with iPhone, iPod touch or iPad mini devices and proprietary applications in different ways. There's a version of the AppBlaster that is Marvel licensed, focusing on The Avengers (the Marvel comic brand is owned by Disney these days), and there are plans for a Cars steering wheel accessory, even an iPad mini version that ties in with Pixar's forthcoming Planes movie.

But it is the interactive plush Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse toys - AppToyz Disney-licensed versions of its Applingz range - that younger children are going to find most endearing, .

We were recently sent My Interactive Friend Mickey Mouse by to review and of course, J was happy to oblige. J has been a bit late to the Mickey Mouse party mainly because we only have Freeview channels so he doesn’t actually see mickey that often. We recently got Mickey Mouse DVD and since then J has been rather fond of Mickey.

  • Overall I can say that My Interactive Friend Mickey Mouse is a massive hit in this household. Even though he is an interactive toy I can honestly say I don’t particularly find him irritating as some toys can be. J has loved playing with him since he has arrived and I think one of the reasons for that is because he has so many different ways to interact with him. Giving Mickey a hug is a particular favourite. I would imagine if you have a Mickey obsessed child he would be an even bigger hit if that was even possible.
